Set up Deb in a few minutes
Menus in Claude and ChatGPT change from time to time. Steps last checked 9 October 2026.
Step 1: Create your account and connect your channels
- Sign up at https://app.deb.works/login.
- On your account page, click + Add account and choose a channel.
- WhatsApp: scan the QR code from WhatsApp on your phone, under Settings → Linked devices → Link a device. Or link with your phone number and enter the code Deb shows you in WhatsApp.
- LinkedIn: sign in with your LinkedIn email and password. Deb passes them securely to its messaging connectivity provider and never stores your password. LinkedIn may ask you to confirm the sign-in with a code or in the LinkedIn app.
- Gmail or Outlook: sign in with Google or Microsoft and approve the permissions Deb asks for.
Step 2a: Add Deb to Claude
Individual plans (Free, Pro, Max):
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
- Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
-
Name it Deb and paste this URL:
https://mcp.deb.works - Click Continue, sign in to Deb when asked, then click Add.
Team and Enterprise plans: an Owner adds Deb once under Organization settings → Connectors (Add → Custom → Web), using the same URL. Members then open Customize → Connectors, find Deb and click Connect.
The Claude Free plan allows one custom connector.

Step 2b: Add Deb to ChatGPT (Business, Enterprise and Edu, on the web)
- A workspace admin turns on developer mode under Workspace Settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected Data.
- Go to Workspace settings → Apps → Create.
-
Enter the Deb server URL
https://mcp.deb.works, choose OAuth and sign in to Deb. - Click Scan Tools, then Create. Deb appears under Apps → Drafts.
- Test it in a new chat, then publish it from Workspace settings → Apps → Drafts → Publish.
Other ChatGPT plans don't currently support connectors that can send messages.

Step 3: Try it
- “List my connected accounts.”
- “Who's waiting on my reply across LinkedIn, WhatsApp and email?”
- “Who accepted my LinkedIn invites this week?”
- “Give me my daily brief.”
Troubleshooting
- An account shows as unavailable. Its sign-in has expired. Reconnect it in your Deb account.
- Deb doesn't appear in my assistant. Check that the connector is enabled for the chat, and on Team or Business workspaces, that an admin has added or published it.
